2. Who can apply for a position at SID?
You must be a Singapore citizen. We encourage you to apply for any opening that fits your skillset and work experience.
3. I am a final-year undergraduate. Can I submit my application for any of the jobs listed?
Yes, we welcome your application. If you are found suitable, you may be given a provisional offer of appointment.
4. Can I apply to the same position or other positions if my previous application was rejected?
Yes, you may submit another application. We may reconsider your application based on your suitability for the available positions at the point in time.
Remuneration and benefits
5. How are starting salary packages determined in SID?
Your starting salary package will be based on:
- Your credentials, such as your work experience, skills and qualifications
- The demands of the job you are appointed to
- Prevailing labour market conditions
6. How many days of leave are SID officers entitled to?
SID’s leave benefits are as per civil service leave provisions. Officers who are new to the civil service are entitled to 18 days of vacation leave. This increases to 21 days after 10 years.

7. How do I apply for a job at SID?
Please submit your online application here. You will be asked to log in with your SingPass, fill in relevant details like your personal contact information and attach relevant documents like your resume and transcripts.
8. How long will the recruitment process take?
The length of our recruitment process varies between candidates. We will inform you of the likely timeline upon your application. Find out more about the recruitment process here.
9. Can I apply for more than one position at the same time?
Yes. You may apply for multiple positions by listing them in Section A of your application form.
10. What if I change my mind after my application has been submitted?
If you no longer wish to proceed with your application, please inform our recruitment officers when they get in touch with you.
11. Can I update my application after I have submitted it?
No, you will have to submit a fresh application. Please indicate if your application is intended to supersede an earlier one in the Remarks section of the online application form.
12. When can I expect to get a response to my application?
We review all applications received and will contact shortlisted candidates. You should expect to receive a preliminary response from us within a week after submitting your application.
13. Will I be informed if my application is unsuccessful?
Yes, we will inform you if your application is unsuccessful.
14. I have some questions related to the job listing and recruitment process. How can I get in touch?
You may raise questions in the Remarks section of the online application form, or to our recruitment officers when they get in touch with you. We will address your queries in the course of the recruitment process.
