My journey in SID has been fulfilling and enriching, marked by new learnings and challenges that keep me going. Most of the challenges are unique. Perhaps due to this, we bond closely with one another, develop a strong mission-oriented mindset to deliver on the mission. The adrenaline rush and sense of accomplishment you feel whenever you hit that “eureka” moment is something precious and indescribable.

I wanted a job with real impact and purpose - and SID offered just that. The constantly evolving landscape presents diverse and challenging work, and SID provides ample support for personal development and growth to help us better tackle these challenges.

The outcome of our work here may not be widely celebrated, but recognising the quiet impact we have from the shadows allows me to appreciate both what is achieved and what is prevented, while knowing that the work I do carries broader implications and meaningful value.

As a young officer, I have had the opportunity to hone my technical skills alongside some of the very best in the field, experience the satisfaction of seeing my work in action, and get a glimpse of how the work we do directly contributes to national security. Safe to say, working at SID has been an eye-opening experience so far!
