Intel work is not flashy but the purpose is clear. It has provided opportunities to prevent problems rather than being reactive. Whether it’s protecting critical infrastructure, supporting safe travel or providing policymakers sound insights for security continuity - the purpose is bigger than myself. That sense of collective security is a great motivator for me.

I was drawn to SID by its unique mandate: operating discreetly behind the scenes to safeguard Singapore's national interests and prosperity. My tenure here has reinforced that while information is a powerful asset, true wisdom lies in applying it with prudence and responsibility. My continued commitment is fuelled by the dedication of my colleagues and the organisation’s robust investment in human capital. Remaining with the organisation allows me to grow not only as a domain expert but also as a leader dedicated to guide the next generation of intelligence professionals.

Curiosity to see what happens behind the veil was what made me join SID, but it is purpose that compels me to stay. I have chosen to build my career here for the breadth of experience offered through rotational postings, the culture of professionalism and excellence, and the sacred duty to protect Singapore's future.
