My journey in SID started about 7 years ago, as a mid-career. I am proud of the work that we do and am driven by the mission and meaning behind our work. This job is not just about keeping the nation’s secrets, it is also about living each day of my work life with integrity and personal discipline to manage the information and knowledge that we have access to in a responsible way. What I gained most from my journey in SID is the opportunity and honour to work among some of the most talented, driven and dedicated professionals in the intelligence field. They have inspired me to keep pushing personal boundaries for professional and personal growth, and their friendship and camaraderie made my career less of a job, and more of a journey.

Honestly, I was inspired by spy thrillers and joined to chase the allure of the unknown. Now, it's my colleagues' quiet and daily dedication to safeguarding the nation that inspires me. That purpose, combined with the thrill of analysing geopolitics in real-time, makes me excited to build my career here.

I joined SID to challenge myself to step beyond the boundaries of my professional training. It has been a journey of growth ever since. I have had the opportunity to learn and do things that have stretched me in many new dimensions - exactly what I signed up for! What keeps me going is the supportive and dynamic culture in SID. It really helps to know that your colleagues have your back, and that everyone is working towards the mission of safeguarding Singapore.
